Today was the kind of day I wait for all summer, 75° and low humidity. An ideal day for working outside in the spray paint station. But first, I had to convince a family of horny toads residing amongst the spray paint cans to move to a safer fume free area of the yard.
I made a lovely rock and fossil bed for them to live in but they prefer hanging about the spray paint and rusty junk.
some moved quickly to their designated area
while a few took their own merry time
this one insisted on being hand carried like a prima donna
one seemed a bit angry
once everyone was safely in the fossil bed, spray painting could resume.
Herding horny toads is the equivalent of herding cats.
the beginning of the new journal
this journal was made from a discarded wallpaper sample book a few months ago
it has been sitting around waiting for me to finish the last journal I was working
many of the pages have had backgrounds worked, bits and pieces added
pages prepped and waiting
waiting for those little bits of daily stuff
bits of stuff like the tiny tip-in page with rose photos
This year I added many striped and bi-color roses to the garden. One of my favorites was Vick's Caprice and Purple Tiger.
