blazin' finish to the end of the year
Last night had Dog and Me sniffing at the air, nostrils flaring like a wild animal.
Several small wildfires the past couple of days have kept things edgy but with much luck they were under control quickly. No property damage and no one injured but a bit too close for my liking.
The cover is always last to be finished when a journal comes to an end.
Last night while sitting on the back porch, keeping one eye on the fire lines, I put some finishing touches on this visual journal. I like to keep the covers simple. I had quite a time with this journal. Twice I broke the spine requiring a fix and then the pages exploded past the cover, normally this would grate on me to no end but I don't seem bothered by it in the least. I am quite happy with this visual journal.

I showed this one in it's just started phase.
Rarely does the timing happen when I finish both journals at the end of the year but the timing was good this year. I have selected a new book for a new journal for the new year. I think I might try to keep just the one journal this time a mix of daily and visual. We'll see if I can make it happen. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
