today's entry in the digital journal 1. Raise your hand if you have ever cut your fingers on one of these.
2. Raise your hand if you get this.
**being spammed before the digital age**

I get it! I found something like that yesterday in my yard. It's old and rusty and crusty. I thought maybe it was a paint can opener at first but what's the part on the bottom?
I'm collecting bits and pieces I find around the yard for an assemblage piece called "Phound on the Pharm". So far, I've got lots of rusty nails, some broken glass, a couple of marbles, that thing that looks like your thing, a broken robin's egg and a plastic army man.
Oh my gosh! Haven't seen one of those in a million years. I had forgotten that you opened Spam cans that way. I really can't stand that stuff. My mother used to do the thing with pineapple and brown sugar on it, but it was still Spam. Yuck.
How serendipitical! Not long ago, I read a piece by people who love Spam! Unfortunately, I can't remember where I saw it. I remember it well--never liked it.
I get it, but haven't ever cut myself :*) Never was a spam fan . . . nor a sardine fan . . . can't remember what else used those funky little key openers.
Love the way the rusty little key opener looks on the blue, and your sense of humor with the "spammed" is great! Definetly a two thumbs up!

Oh yes, I remember. Didn't these also come on sardine cans? I was always fascinated by the opening key. Actually, it seems a rather clever invention.
