Living in a small space has it's down side, especially when I was shopping at the Habitat Store and spotted this incredible desk.
 
a giant surfboard surface
 
but how cool it it!!
all kinds of cubbies, drawers and surfaces
 
a small lighted display in the front
 
and a jadite green color
this desk would be perfect for a loft or warehouse type studio
it's a monster in size but a deal at $175

nothing pretty today

Living in a gypsy wagon has never been easier than it is right now with all the cool gadgets in micro mini size. So perfect since space is a premium in the small wagon.
 
It is a given that IKEA is a savior for those of us living in small spaces.
Getting rid of these horrid and I mean HORRID upholstered valances is top on my list.
I am thinking the IKEA clip curtain wires would be ideal. 
Instead of curtains, I could clip fabric that I use in my journals
this idea is still brewing in my head, updates will follow
 
I gained so much space by getting rid of the huge bulky old TV. Since I don't watch TV all that much this equally old but smaller one works fine.

The space below the TV was filled by a massive stereo system that is replaced by my iPod and a compact folding set of speakers.

As soon as I find my drill the mess of wires will disappear and while I am at it, I think I will pick up a few more of the IKEA curtain wire rods to hide my storage bins in the "stereo hole".

 
and speaking of organizing, Kindle's latest upgrade has now made folders available
which has made finding all those hundreds of books so much easier

My list of favorite things for living in a small space
- Kindle (which is also my top favorite of all gadgets)
- iPod
- Roku player for watching movies from Netflix (http://www.roku.com/)
- Laptop
- sleep number bed (not only is it comfortable but light weight making it easier to lift the lid for the under the bed storage unit)

Sprapodex

 

When I spotted this vintage rolodex, it set my head a spinning.


The plan was to make one card after every project using the left over scraps.
 
I started today and found out that it's not possible to make just one.

My living space is too small to keep magazines so I tear out what I like and turn the images into a condensed maga-journal-zine because living in a gypsy wagon, it's all about organization and consolidation.

a new chapter

 

This weekend, I said goodbye to my house. It was a sad parting but I am equally relieved to be finished with the work of fixing this place. I know the new owners will be happy.

Tuesday, I said hello to the gypsy wagon. The wagon has been an off and on again residence. 

Starting the next chapter in my life with new adventures.
 
More time to journal and work on art, time to do pretty much anything I want.
 
Maybe even remodel the gypsy wagon, it is really dated and ugly but small enough I could go over the top crazy with the interior. 
Turn it into a real gypsy wagon.
