I have been lazy and up to no good this summer. I have been enjoying the days like an eight year old on summer vacation from school.
With no house to work on and living in the gypsy wagon, I have been free as a breeze to drift along where ever the wind takes me.
Looking in the mirror the other day, I tried to remember the last time I had sun bleached hair, a green tongue from too many freezer pops, flip flop tan lines and freckles from head to toe.
Each morning, Ralph the Dog and I go out looking for new adventures.
Like little goats with dirty knees.
Some are larger than life.
some are found in favorite colors like lime green
soft colors with good rusty stuff
trying to keep out of trouble
it was oh so tempting to climb over this fence to see what was on the other side
too many adventures and not enough time for the journal
and at the end of the day, all we can do is collapse on a quilt and dream about the adventures tomorrow will bring.

I confess to a twinge of envy about your lazy, hazy, carefree summer adventures. This one has gone by in a blur of productivity and busy-ness...but without enough down time. Thank you for reminding me to take advantage of the summer while I still can.
