When I sold my last house, I sold most of the furniture with it. That means I have no living room furniture, nothing, nadda, zip. So below are some big plans that I am thinking of tackling.
I love this honey colored pine cabinet at a local antique mall. I think it would make a great tv cabinet. The top drawer, I would deconstruct so the the front drawer panel would flip down on hidden hinges and I could put the DVD, Roku and remotes behind it. No problem with that project, easy peasy lemon squeazy.
I am head over heels crazy for this rusty toile railing and I MUST find something to do with it. I just can't think of what yet. Maybe a room divider or a side end table. A piece of granite would be nice on the ledge of this piece.
Let me tell you how much I love a good chesterfield sofa but not in blue crushed velvet. This one has good lines and I would love to re-upholster it but I admit I am intimidated by all that button tufting.
This is how I would like to re-do the sofa. In a patchwork fabric like this chesterfield on the left featured in a Romantic Country magazine. Making the patchwork fabric would be a breeze and I have plenty but again all that button tufting. I think I could do it but there would be a good possibility I could go insane before finishing.

I love all those pieces, especially the metal divider! OMG, it is amazing!!! If you will let me go to the beach once a day, I will come and help you tuft the sofa...and could we have "Patty's Summer Salad" for lunch? Sounds like the perfect project to me...

I say go for it! The couch would be wonderful in the patchwork.

I would most definitely go insane doing the button tufting, but that is a beautiful sofa, and the one in Romantic Country is to die for!
