An old garden rose that is always in bloom even with the heat and humidity of the summer.
I love before and after pictures, it's kind of an obsession of mine.
What a difference one year makes. At this time last year, I had just started the yard clean up process after moving into our house. When we move with the gypsy wagon to a new home, there is also tagging along a gypsy garden. I am more than pleased with the progress after just one year. When we knew we would be moving, I took cuttings from 18 of my favorite and hard to find roses and moved them with us. The rose garden is beginning to take shape and the roses are starting to settle in to their new home.
I can not begin to describe the hours of clean up that it took just in the back yard. The reward will be a fall season of good gardening.
Wow, your back yard is a lot deeper than I thought. Is that a pool off to the right? You mostly show closer up shots of things, so it's hard to get the full scope. What a great space to do all sorts of stuff and you've made wonderful progress in a year. I love that old rose. And I love B&A's too - have you seen this blog? http://www.betterafter.net/ She posts mostly furniture B&A's from all over the net, but sometimes outdoor spaces and whole rooms. Really fun to see what people can do with the worst looking stuff.

Beautiful! I envy a clean slate to work on and all that room! Hard work pays off!
