My favorite part of the holidays are when things slow down and I can get lost in projects.
It is a joy to savor the process and I loved making this little silk blouse.
This blouse was make using Loes Hinse Italian blouse pattern.
I love the collar and front placket of this pattern, very feminine and the Betsey Johnson silk fabric was a perfect match.
A gorgeous slippery sliding silk. It took a big deep breath to bravely cut into the silk but once started, the blouse came together nicely.
In my stash of stuff, I found these vintage little black buttons. The buttons are just the right size for the silk and enough for the front but I had to find two plain black ones for each cuff. I don't think any one will notice.
Patty,
gah. I so so so admire your ability to sew, just not something I ever learned. This fabric is gorgeous, but I especially LOVE those buttons!
