Don't you just love these pretty papers!! The papers are gift wrap from World Market. When looking for paper don't forget to check out higher end wrapping paper. These papers are thick and a nice quality for using in journals and of course in the scrapodex. the scrapodex is getting fuller a few pages worked on late at night a nice on-going project that I can add bits and pieces to sometimes, I just do a simple background and sometimes I will do a mini collage
In a bit of a nostalgic mood yesterday,I played in digital format. Remembering a time when that was my preferred art medium for many years. In 1995, I had my first Corel program and there was no looking back. I was hooked. When I lived with my grandmother (not the lady pictured above) one of her rules was that on Sunday afternoons, we could listen to music or read. Nothing else for entertainment. I credit my grandmother for the gift of loving both music and books. My grandmother loved Edith Piaf and that was what we listened to if grandmother had control of the music selection.
My iPod is filled with Piaf music and it takes me to a time spent with my grandmother, the music, the books and the stories of the old country.
How fortunate that there is so much of Edith Piaf's music available today. There is also a movie on her life "La Vie en Rose". She was certainly the one of the greatest voices of France.
There are several full plates and small sheets of red rubber stamps and there are also Basic Grey acrylic stamps Be sure to check out all these sales, I have rub on transfers, some paper tags and lots of neat stuff. wearing my heart on my sleeve An altered sweater project. I found this soft cotton men's pullover sweater at the thrift store for .99. It was cut apart and turned into a roomy perfect for snuggling in sweater jacket for myself. Just right for cool winter nights. The only problem was a stain on the sleeve that I didn't notice before purchasing but a little tie dye felted heart covered it up and adds a nice touch of whimsy. Then I did a little simple crochet to finish the edges.
