perfect china is not for me I'll take it chippy, crazed, and stained an old ironstone platter that has hundred of stories to tell an aged beauty that only time can provide

I agree, that is the kind of china I prefer, too. So much more character and warm to the pieces. I often wonder "who held this teacup" or "what was served on this plate". It's kind of nice to feel a connection in the dark so to speak.

I love my old platters as well..not worth anything to collectors, so I have found some great ones at estate sales..yep..a chip or two..some stains from a wonderful Sunday dinner..Oh how I wish they could speak!
