or maybe, just using what I have and that is a collection of vintage barkcloth
three different barkcloth prints that I love
small pieces that I pieced together to make this vest
Butterick pattern 4662 (out of print)
my goal was to use only what I have
thrifted buttons from the button drawer
vintage barkcloth left over from upholstery projects from many years ago
the tiny black and white check on the front trim and the back ties is from the scrap fabric bin
The lining is from thrift store mens shirts and fabric leftover from a jacket project.
The lining fabric doesn't match but I like it, especially the no cost of using what is on hand.
Love the pattern and will be making this again as there are lots of possibilites for using up small pieces of fabric.
The front and back darts help keep the vest from looking bulky and I like the lines of this vest.
