The Day of the Dead fabric journal is finished.
What a fun book this was to make.
9" by 10" and 3" thick, its a big floppy thready book with a few blank pages for note making
Gato Muerto fabric journal
applique, machine embroidery (urban threads), fabric collage
I won't be posting directions to make this fabric journal and it's too involved to explain on this blog or by email...just saying.
The End
and a couple of my favorite pages
this one I like, maybe because it was the first page I worked on or maybe because I haven't done applique in quite a long time and had forgotten how much I enjoy it
this one I like because of the colors and vintage fabric even though I make a couple of significant mistakes
I stitched "oops" onto it and that makes me feel better about the errors.
Wow, do I love this one! Especially the cat with the fish on his head! Great!

This is beautiful! Could you at least tell us how it was bound? I say you created the signatures and then just sewed them into the cover with the machine? Hopefully I am not too far off, cause I would love to try this. Thanx

What a marvelous book! I especially like the back cover and the spread that's green on the left and pink on the right. I've made a lot of books but not one like this. May have to give it a try - I certainly have enough fabric laying around. You gonna sell it of keep it?
